Well done, grade 4s, on your boot camp today. Not that we're surprised, you're always so amazing on Fridays!
This morning we talked about Book Clubs. We were shown the discussion forums on D2L, which is where our roles will be completed. Even our illustrators will be uploading their pictures. Please show your parents where these discussions are in D2L. PoWer hour was amazing, again! Thank you, grade 4s, for your amazing leadership. Have a great weekend... __________________________________________________ Link for PoWer Hour Students (Term 2): https://studio.code.org/sections/LIDSBR __________________________________________________ Reminders:
Hi. Ok, Book Clubs are ready to go. We finished the organizational part of it this morning. We've figured out our roles, groups, and schedules. It all begins MOnday!
We've also had some mathletics tasks assigned to us, so if you have time, please log in to complete them. In the afternoon, Ms. Covic began working with us on an art project. We'll be working on this project for a few days, then using it as inspiration for some work on poetry. Recycling tomorrow... __________________________________________________ Link for PoWer Hour Students (Term 2): https://studio.code.org/sections/LIDSBR __________________________________________________ Reminders:
Hello! What a day...
we started with learning a new card game this morning. It is called 99 and all you need is a full deck of cards, including the jokers. Please ask your child the rules of the game. We'll play again soon! We also chose our book club books. We will talk about our schedules and roles tomorrow, then begin full swing on Monday. Stay tuned to our D2L site, as that's where all of the work will be posted. In the afternoon, we worked with our buddies on patterning, using blocks to fill in shapes. We then ended the day with an introduction to light & Shadows, talking about things that emit light and things that do not. Finally, we watched another one Knowledge network's episodes on canada's UNESCO heritage sites. We have focused on Alberta's sites, and today's was Waterton Lakes International Peace park. The website is below, as requested by BW: UNESCO SITES. Please remember your cereal boxes for tomorrow. __________________________________________________ Link for PoWer Hour Students (Term 2): https://studio.code.org/sections/LIDSBR __________________________________________________ Reminders:
February has come and gone, and now we're marching into March! This morning, students worked with Mrs. K on some pictographs. We are starting to work on statistics and probability, which includes graphing and looking closely at data.
Book club selection is tomorrow morning, so get ready for that. Also, most of our book club work will be done online in D2L, so parents will have access to it 24/7... We finished working with our mindstorms this afternoon. We were very diligent in making sure that building was done respectfully and appropriately. Our hard work paid off, as we had all full kits at the end of the exercise. Great job! Please bring in a cereal box for an art project. We need the boxes for next week, preferably by Thursday. Ms. Covic is leading this project. Have a great weekend... __________________________________________________ Link for PoWer Hour Students (Term 2): https://studio.code.org/sections/LIDSBR __________________________________________________ Reminders:
