Question of the night: How would you solve the problem 45-38? We're not interested in the answer so much, but how would you solve it?
Hello! Mrs. K was in all day today, since Mr. V was at Wilma Hansen in the morning and in the office (not in trouble) in the afternoon. In the morning, we worked alot on math, especially talking about how to regroup numbers for subtraction. We did some practising with problems, and will eventually work towards word problems. The morning was also used for writing in our groups, which we'll be wrapping up next week. Then, we'll continue to talk about editing and revising our work. Writing is alot of work! In the morning, we visited Mrs. Dennill, then Mrs. Cornford, then worked on a little bit of Art, all before PE at the end of the day. Tickets for the spring concert will be sent home tomorrow, so please keep an eye out. Have a great night. so you start with 5-8 well you can't do that so you borrow from the 4 in 45 so now the 5 is now a 15 so 15 -8=7, so the 4 is now a 3 so 3-3 =0 so the answer is 7

First, you subtract eight from five but you can’t do that. So, you you take ten from the four, then the five becomes a nine. Then the equation is fifteen minus eight. Now we do three minus three because we borrowed ten from the forty, that is which is one. The answer is seven.
