Question of the night: If you had to explain to someone how to divide 43 by 5, how would you do it?
We began the day with a few builder of alberta presentations. Please remember, if you are not finished, you need to work on it at home. You can access all of your work on google docs and adobe spark online. This morning, we learned about tom Three Persons, William Aberhart, and Guy Weadick. Also this morning, we began our last social studies inquiry of the year. It all revolves around storytelling and the Blackfoot oral tradition. We are focusing our work on the petroglyphs of Writing-On-Stone Provincial park. We worked on some role playing with "generations" this morning, which made us realize how easy it is to accidentally change history, especially if that history is not written down. We watched a couple of warm-up videos to get us ready to discuss petroglyphs. We'll continue tomorrow. Here are the videos: Stories on Stone. The rest of the morning was spent talking about division and reading wishtree. In the afternoon, we continued to work on our historical building study. We also had some time to explore a 1903 phone book from Calgary. We recognized some very famous entries, like AE Cross, JA LougheeD, and many other numbers for famous buildings. Bye for now! ____________________________________________________ Important Dates:
