Question of the night: List a couple of things you "see" in the attached picture.
What an amazing day of learning! We started the day with a "See, think, Wonder" thinking routine. The picture we used is attached below. This thinking routine is designed to slow down our thinking, which is sometimes hard to do as kids...not to mention adults! We spent 2-3 minutes on each step, which feels like a lifetime. Try it our tonight with your parents. We followed that with a bit of work on arrays, again. Remember, arrays must be built in one direction (not the band), only have one colour (when using cusinaire rods), and make a full rectangle or square. We'll continue to work on this topic tomorrow. This helps us to visualize multiplication and area. In the afternoon, we talked more about our bottle biology project, and all students have a bit of homework tonight. They each need to bring to school some organic material to fill our biomes. Here is a link with some suggestions: Bottle Biology - Fill. We finished the day with a bit of ringette in pe, then our daily nominations for good sportsmanship behaviour. See you tomorrow! ____________________________________________________ Dec. 4 – 15 Mayor’s Christmas Food Drive This year will be the 29th annual food drive to support the Calgary Food Bank. ____________________________________________________ Important Dates:
