Question of the night: Name one thing you can do that helps the environment.
What an amazing day! We began and ended the day with "The Lorax". We read the book this morning, then brainstormed some ways that we can "care". We'll be visiting this concept of "care" over the next few weeks, as part of our science studies. At the end of the day, we watched the Lorax. In between, we spent a bit of time on spelling, where we reviewed the long and short "e" sounds from last week. This week's rule is short and long "i" sounds, and some words that you can practice are here: mind, child, idea, bright, while, life, island, goodbye, live, type, finish, decide, alive, exciting, appetite and favourite. We also worked on the perimeter of our name this morning. We used block letters and worked on finding the perimeter of each letter, as well as our name's today perimeter. Be safe tonight. Happy Halloween! ____________________________________________________ Important Dates:
