Question of the night: Describe your musical device. What did it sound like? This morning, we explored how light and shadows can play games with on our eyes and our brains. We looked at some common optical illusions. The ones we looked at are at the bottom of this post. Enjoy! We also began to explore sound, which led us to the IDEA Lab, where we tested different materials to make different sounds. We'll build on this exploration over the next few weeks, beginning with how humans and animals hear different sounds. Wow, what an amazing dress rehearsal we had this Afternoons. The "m-Z" group performed for the "A-L" group and a few parents. It was incredible. Tonight is the performace...Yellow, Orange, Dark Green or red. Long sleeves. No logos. Black Pants. That's the dress code for tonight's concert. Doors open at 6pm. Concert starts at 6:30pm. We enjoyed some leadership time with our buddies. We're such great leaders! Bye for now! Don't forget to check out the optical illusions beneath this post! ____________________________________________________ Walking Wednesday Any students who walk, ride, bike to school on Wednesday will be entered for a prize. ____________________________________________________ Power Hour January 2017 Camel Group -- https://studio.code.org/sections/DYTPMD Lion Group -- https://studio.code.org/sections/DSBGDD ____________________________________________________ Reminders:
