Question of the night: With your Lego Mindstorm, what would you like your robot to do? Do you think your can program that?
We continued with caroling this morning. after that, we started growing crystals using borax, food colouring, and hot water. Let's see how they turn out. We also made some christmas cards to donate to the drop-in centre. The students were extremely thoughtful and empathetic in their messages. In the afternoon, we worked on finishing a few tasks, then continued to work on lego mindstorms. We'll (hopefully) be programming tomorrow, if the computers cooperate! Have a good night! ____________________________________________________ Hi, It’s the GIVE power hour. The charity we have chosen this month is the Calgary Drop-in center. You can help by bringing the following items: socks grades 5/6, tooth brush /tooth paste from grade 3/4, grade 2 will from be collecting deodorant, grade 1 will be collecting lip balm /lip gloss and kindergarten will be collecting hand sanitizer. Please bring all items to Mrs. McKay’s room by Wednesday December 14th. Thanks for helping to make a difference this holiday season. ____________________________________________________ Canstruction Club is looking for non-perishable donations to build our structure next Thursday. It is called the 'Green Cantern’ based on the superhero the Green Lantern. We’re collecting green items such as cans and boxes for this! Please drop off any items to the Idea Lab. I want my robot to do all of my schoolwork for me. Sadly, I don't think I can program that but I might be able to program it to throw something.

I would program it to go where ever it wants and if there were sensors I would program it to not bump in to anything. 🤖
