Question of the night: What was one thing you noticed from your sketching on the ridge today?
**We are in need of MANY 2-litre Soda bottles for our classroom. If you have some to spare, please send cleaned bottles with your child. Thank you!** Hello! This morning looked different than our typical mornings. We started the day with some brain warm-ups by finding and sorting "e" vowel sound words into long and short categories. We'll do some more work on this tomorrow. After our spelling warm-up, we worked on area, again. We started to talk about square units, then moved into square centimetres. We're getting great at finding area and perimeter of shapes - we just need reminders to use our units. After recess, we had an amazing art lesson with Ms. Ferrari. She taught us, once again, some techniques to use with watercolour pencils. This time we focused on prairie landscapes, which helped us when we had our walk in the afternoon. And...speaking of afternoon walk, we had a great time on the ridge of fish creek. We did some directional sketching. It was pretty windy, which was perfect, since we could talk about the prairie winds! Thank you to all parents that were able to help with our walk. Have a great night! ____________________________________________________ Important Dates:
