Question of the night: Find three sources of light in your house, and tell us if they'e natural or artificial.
Wow, what a day! We're continuing to study light & Sound in science, focusing on light right now. We studied the difference between natural and artificial light sources today. We also read Wonder in the morning. Auggie describes a "seismic" shift in the way people are treating him at school. We're getting very close to the end of the book. In the afternoon, we talked about travel planning, and said that we'll have 3 more research sessions on this project. Then, we'll present our plans. We also watched a quick video on an ice road between fort McMurray and Fort Chipewyan. It was intense! We learned uppercase cursive "L" this afternoon. Don't forget your D2L homework. ____________________________________________________ Over the next few months, students will have some ongoing home reading homework. All of the homework is tracked within D2L under "Discussions". Essentially, students are tasked with engaging in dialogue with their fellow classmates about books they may be reading. There will be weekly questions to guide their discussions. The expectation is that students post at least 2 times per week. Please contact me with any questions. Bye for now! ____________________________________________________ Walking Wednesday Any students who walk, ride, bike to school on Wednesday will be entered for a prize. ____________________________________________________ Power Hour January 2017 Camel Group -- https://studio.code.org/sections/DYTPMD Lion Group -- https://studio.code.org/sections/DSBGDD ____________________________________________________ Reminders:
