Hi All! We're coming up to the end of our first week of Book CLubs. Postings are always due on Friday, which is when our groups will meet and discuss posts. We will also assess our work at that time. Most students have used the audio recordings that are on D2L. More of the chapters will be posted tonight, so they will be ready to go tomorrow.
We played a new game in Math today called Dueling Wizards. Try it at home. Please look below for important messages: students are asked to bring photographs of their grandparents or others they consider to be their Elders. Students can gather pictures of grandparents and Elders as children, young adults or as older people. Each student will have a space on a bulletin board where they can post their pictures. Students may also post anything that symbolizes this person to them. For example, if the Elder plays card games with the student, he or she could put a playing card on the wall. Some other examples of connections to our elders is teaching how to knit and baking special recipes. Right now, we are focusing on teachings from our elders, rather than physical artifacts that our elders possess. Homework:
