Question of the night: Post as many plural words as you can.
**We are in need of MANY 2-litre Soda bottles for our classroom. If you have some to spare, please send cleaned bottles with your child. Thank you!** We hit the ground running this morning. We started, very briefly, talking about plurals this morning. Our intention is to explore the difference between plural (more than one) and possessive (ownership). Basically, when you need to use an apostrophe and when you Don't! We also talked about silent "e" words this morning, which is another part in long and short vowel sounds. Wow, it's amazing how well we're doing with our spelling. We'll continue tomorrow. In math, we talked about area. We need to make sure that our units don't change when we're figuring out the area of a shape. We also helped some of our grade 1 friends from Mrs. Smith's class with designing an "area" robot. We'll be creating one ourselves tomorrow. In the afternoon, we spent some time with Mrs. Dennill, then were off to the Library, and finished with some handwriting and PE. It was a super fun afternoon, too! Have a great night. ____________________________________________________ Our classroom email coordinator this year is Jenny Fech.
