Question of the night: Assuming we're exploring minecraft tomorrow, what do you think would be a good project for us to work on?
**We are in need of MANY 2-litre Soda bottles for our classroom. If you have some to spare, please send cleaned bottles with your child. Thank you!** Mrs. K was in this this morning for Mr. V. We worked on some spelling sorting, as well as using the possessive in our writing. It's very different than using plurals!! We also worked on using square centimetre units, which we'll continue tomorrow. In the afternoon, we had music, then spent some time exploring the library. We also met up with our grade 2 buddies, which was great! We used cusinaire rods and worked on building puzzles. We'll be exploring cusinaire more and more over the next few weeks, especially as they apply to multiplication. Family Dance tomorrow night! Have a great night! ____________________________________________________ Important Dates:

maybe we could build shelters for animals and count the area and perimeter. or we could see how well we could survive together.

Since we're going on Minecraft and we are studying Alberta, maybe we could go into creative and create an aboriginal village? Or maybe we could try and find a river biome and build a city from the shores of the "bow river" just like the settlers did. I guess we could find the river in creative and build the city in survival!
